Parque Historico near Guayaquil in Ecuador
How many times have I been to the Parque Histórico. It is a historically built park in Samborondón on the banks of the Daule River directly adjacent to Guayaquil. It is less than 30 minutes by car from the center of the city.
On an area of 8 hectares there is not only a mangrove forest with all its animals living in it, but also many other numerous species of birds and wild animals. In addition, a farm of the 19th century has been recreated there. Cocoa is planted there and many fruits.
I had there after a small course, how coffee is cultivated, also this delicious coffee to try. it is not prepared with Kafffeepulver, but it is infused an almost oily mass of coffee with hot water.
Many buildings have been reconstructed as they looked around 1900 in old Guayaquil. In the photos you can also see the old buildings. Very lovingly prepared and especially very well maintained.
There are also daily outdoor plays that show a glimpse into the lives of people in those days. I was so thrilled that I went again and again when my time allowed.
If you are ever in Guayaquil, I would love to show you this beautiful Parque Historico.
